Obituary of Margaret Elliot
ELLIOT, Margaret Cameron
Passed away peacefully after a short stay at Strathroy Middlesex General Hospital on Saturday, April 14th, 2012. Margaret Cameron Elliot of Brookside Retirement Living, Watford in her 95th year. Loving sister of Fran Hollingsworth of Watford and sister-in-law of Maxine (Bid) Elliot of Stoney Creek. Marg was also survived by many nieces and nephews, great nieces and nephews, and great great nieces and nephews. Marg is predeceased by her parents Alex and Maude Elliot, brothers Dick, Jim and A.D. Elliot, sisters Mary Millar, Lillian Doyle and Dorothy Elliot, brothers-in-law Hanley Millar, Al Doyle and Russ Hollingsworth and one sister-in-law Donna Elliot. Marg was the cherished dear friend of Don and Willie Cook and family and Karen Smith and Felix Szmiett of Watford. Marg was a proud life member of the Watford Legion Ladies Auxiliary Br. # 172. Visitation will be held at the WATFORD CHAPEL of DENNING FUNERAL DIRECTORS on Friday, April 20th, 2012 from 7:00 - 9:00pm with Funeral Service in the chapel on Saturday, April 21st at 11am with visitation one hour prior (10-11am). Rev. Carey Wagner officiating. Interment to follow at Bethel Cemetery. Those wishing to make a donation in memory of Marg are asked to consider the Watford Legion, Br. #172 or the charity of your choice. The family wishes to extend special thanks to the wonderful staff at Brookside Retirement Living, who took such good care of Marg in her final years.
