Obituary of Leah Galbraith
GALBRAITH, Leah Ethel (Kemp)- Age 83, Passed away peacefully at North Lambton Lodge, Friday, May 11th, 2007. Loving wife of the late Donald Galbraith (1986). Loving mother to Shirley (Kenneth) Nicholson or RR #1 Courtright, Gary (Sherryll) Galbraith of Calgary, Gordon (Darlene) Galbraith of Listowell, Glenn (Linda) Galbraith of Sherwood Park. Dear grandmother to 12 grandchildren and 7 great grandchildren. Predeceased by her parents Fred and Ethel Kemp, sisters; Mildred Cates, Alma Wakeling, Beatrice Alexander, Brothers; Cecil Kemp, Albin Kemp. Leah will be remembered by many for her lovely music, as a music teacher, both in the schools and giving private lessons, also as a church organist at Uttoxeter United Church and Forest United Church. She was an active member in the community and the Uttoxeter Women's Institute. Visitation will be held at the Ronn E. Dodge Funeral Home, Forest (9 James St. at Watt St.) on Monday, May 14th, 2007 from 2-4 and 7-9 pm with Funeral Service on Tuesday, May 15th, at 2pm from the Funeral Home. Interment to follow at Beechwood Cemetery, Forest. Donation to the Diabetes Association, Canadian Cancer society or the Alzheimer's Foundation would be greatly appreciated by the family.
