Hi Gerry, Janet and I are sorry to hear about the passing of your father. How time flies! If my memory is correct the last time we met was in 2002 at Bernice and Bob Shamblaw's when we were living with them at the time. We are now living in London, moved here a year ago from Cambridge. Again, sorry for your loss.

I wanted to pass on my condolences to all of you and to Elsie. Your father was special person to all of our family. He was a welcome and entertaining visitor. I have many memories of his visits and what a great character he was in the community - the little blue bug at the Forest Fair, Minnie Pearl, and stories from people I knew whose children rode the bus that he drove - no nonsense on that bus! Lloyd was the person I thought of to help me out when my father died. He brought mom to the hospital and stayed with us for most of the day until Stewart, Don and Joan arrived. He and Elsie were so thoughtful and gave us a place of respite during the visitation, gave us great meal and were so caring at that time. This was appreciated then, and will never be forgotten. That thoughtfulness warmth, caring, great humour, and taking on responsibilities was a part of what made him very special to us. Mom always talked of Lloyd as almost a brother - since they were born in the same year and spent a lot of time together growing up. She too has lots of great memories and stories from those younger days. He was a great guy, a special man, and this world is a lesser place without him. I will think of him often and keep you in my thoughts as well at this sad time for you. -- Love, Ruth

We wish to convey our deepest sympathy to Lloyd's family. I, Diane, will miss him. He was a friend when I needed a friend. He was always a gentleman with me. He understood times of crisis. Under all that exterior hardness, lay a heart of a puppy. I will miss him. He was my friend.
