Obituary of Peter Ferwerda

Peacefully at his late residence in Warwick, Ontario on Sunday, May 23rd, 2010 in his 64th year, Peter Ferwerda. Beloved husband and best friend of Lynn Ferwerda (Van Praet) and dearly loved father of Ann and Steve Greb, Laura and Brian Werkema, Deanna and Dave Dalrymple and Cheyenne and Pete Broeders. Loving Papa of Megan, Matthew, Hailey, Kayla, Ella, Maddy, Jack, Avery and one expected (Baby Broeders). Predeceased by parents Jeffrey and Margaret Ferwerda, sister Tina Yonkers, and brother John Ferwerda. Peter will also be sadly missed by several brothers, sisters, nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, friends, and fellow fireman. Peter served proudly as a Fireman and as Fire Chief for the Warwick Fire Department for over 30 years. Visitation will be held at the WATFORD CHAPEL OF DENNING FUNERAL DIRECTORS on Tuesday, May 25th, 2010 from 2-4 and 7-9pm with Funeral Service in the chapel on Wednesday, May 26th, 2010 at 11am with Rev. Dr. Christine O'Reilly officiating. Fireman walkthrough will take place at 7pm Tuesday evening. Interment to follow at Warwick United Cemetery.
