Obituary of Ronald Wallis

It is with great sadness that the family announces the passing of Ronald Franklyn Wallis of Strathroy in his 75th year on Thursday, July 16, 2009 at Watford Quality Care. Ron is survived by his loving wife Joyce and by children Greg (Brenda) Wallis of Strathroy, Theresa Downie (Tom Kneale) of London and Brenton (Leza) Wallis of Petrolia. Ron will be sadly missed by his grandchildren Julian (Stephen) Webb, Dain Wallis, Mallory and Bryan Downie, Zachary and Colin Wallis and many nieces and nephews. Ron is predeceased by his daughter Margaret, infant son William, brother Doug Wallis and by parents Orville and Peg Wallis. Ron is also survived by his brother Roger (Lois) Wallis, sisters in law Betty Wallis, Stella Mahovlich, Mary Horne, Vivian Wright (Tom Carter) and Gail Cassidy and brother in law Clyde Murphy (June). Ron was a proud member of the Watford Rotary Club, Wallis Hunt Camp, Havelock Lodge in Watford and the Watford Historical Society. Memorial Service will be held at the Watford United Church on Saturday, August 8th, 2009 at 11am. Donations to the Parkinson Society would be greatly appreciated by the family.
