Obituary of John Westbere

WESTBERE Peacefully, at Parkwood Hospital, London on Friday morning, October 31st, 2008. John Westbere of Rodney and formerly of Erin in his 88th year. Predeceased by his wife Doris (2003). Beloved dad of Peter (Margaret) of Guelph and Muriel (Francis) Nash of Cornwall. Loving "poppy" of Ann and Caroline. Predeceased by grandson Michel. John was a veteran of World War II, serving with the British army in Egypt. He was also R.E.M.E. He will be fondly remembered by his true friends at the Donut Delight as well as in the West Elgin area. Friends may call at the Rodney Chapel, 212 Furnival Rd. on Sunday, November 2nd, 2008 from 3-5 pm. Rodney Legion Branch #525 will conduct a memorial service at 4 pm. Funeral service will be conducted on Monday at 1 pm. Rev. Canon Meurig Lloyd celebrant. Family interment at Woodlawn cemetery on Tuesday at 2 pm.
