Obituary of Robert Nelson Johnston

JOHNSTON At Four Counties Health Services, Newbury on Sunday, July 20th, 2008. R. Nelson Johnston of RR#1 Wardsville in his 83rd year. Nelson was the Reeve of Aldborough township and Warden of Elgin county in 1973. He was involved in local politics for many years and farmed for most of his life. Lovingly remembered by his wife of nearly 60 years Willa (Myers). Dear father of Robert (Linda) of St. Thomas, Joanne Cousins (Jim) of Calgary, Alb., David (Janet) and John (Joann) all of Clachan. Loving grandfather of Cassandra, Chris, Corey, Jamie, Max, Mike, Amanda (Kevin), Sara, Charlie and Bill. Predeceased by his brothers Harold (Shirley Johnston of Wardsville) and Donald (Alma Johnston of Glencoe). Also survived by several nieces and nephews. Friends may call at the Rodney Chapel, 212 Furnival Rd. on Tuesday, July 22nd, 2008 from 2-4 and 7-9 pm. Funeral service will be conducted at the chapel on Wednesday at 2 pm.
