Obituary of Helen Margaret Babcock

Peacefully at Sprucedale Care Centre in Strathroy on Wednesday, March 2, 2016, on her 87th Birthday, Helen Margaret Babcock (nee Wills) of Strathroy, formerly of the Sarnia and Forest Area. Helen is predeceased by her loving husband Walter (late of 2009) and her infant son Larry Walter (1951), and her parents Russell and Beatrice Wills. Beloved mother of Cheryl (Larry) Wilson of Watford, Joyce (Tom) McLaughlin of Sarnia, Darlene (Mike) Andriash of Warwick and Rhonda (Terry) Derby of Strathroy. Fondly remembered by grandchildren Shawn (Monique) Wilson, Shannon Morgan, Meghan (Rob) Campbell, Michelle (Ryan) Smith, Brian McLaughlin, Jeff (Brandi) McLaughlin, Ashley Andriash, and Brent (Courtney) Andriash, Wes Derby, Cole (Serena) Derby, and Shelby Derby. Adored Great-Grandma of Taylor, Nichelle, Mikayla, Brooke and Tanner Wilson, Gavin Morgan, Narissa, Dylan, Paige and Briar Campbell, Luke McLaughlin and Logan Andriash. Sister of the late Eileen Armstrong and the late Muriel Howard. Survived by brothers in law William Armstrong and Don Howard. Also, survived by brothers in law Ronald Babcock (late Phyllis), Kenneth (Grace) Babcock and sisters in law Mary Rose (Bruce) Annett and Ilene (Ross) Annett and many nieces and nephews. Visitation will be held at Denning’s of Forest (9 James St. S. at Watt St.) on Friday, March 4, 2016 from 6:00 pm – 9:00 pm with Funeral Service in the chapel on Saturday, March 5, 2016 at 11:00 am. Interment at Dresden Cemetery. In memoriam donations to the Canadian Diabetes Association or to the Hospital for Sick Children in London would be appreciated by the family.
