Obituary of David Jonathan Jacques
JACQUES, David Jonathan
Passed away peacefully at his home in his 77th year, on June 10, 2015, after a short but painful battle with lung/bone cancer. He is and always will be lovingly missed by his wife of 57 years, Darlene (nee Paton), son Gary and his wife Jackie of Windsor, Ontario; daughter Wendy and her husband David of Kippen, Ontario, and four grandchildren, Rebbeca and her husband Evan Thomson of St. Mary’s, Ontario; Benjamin Dressler of Stratford, Ontario; Joshua Dressler of Exeter, Ontario, and Tabitha Dressler, of Kippen, Ontario. Also by a great-grandchild on the way. Predeceased by mother Violet (1977), and father Wilbur Jacques (1989), siblings Jack Jacques (1975), Jean Hockin (2003), Elmina Woods (1994), and Ruth Alexander (2014). Survived by brother Paul and his wife Lee Jacques, of Mannford, Oklahoma; sister Grace and her husband Hugh Munro of Stratford, Ontario; and sister Dorcas Jarden of Victoria, B.C., and several nieces and nephews. Visitation will take place at DENNINGS OF FOREST, 9 James Street South, Forest, Ontario, on Friday, June 12, 2015, from 7:00 pm – 9:00 pm. A Funeral Service will take place in the funeral home chapel on Saturday morning, June 13, 2015, at 11:00 am. Interment to follow at Ravenswood Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations to the charity of one’s choice would be appreciated by the family. The family would like to express their appreciation to the doctors and nursing staff of the Palliative Care Unit of Bluewater Health, and a special thanks to Ellen Shaule for her compassion and efforts above and beyond.
