My first VP assignment was at Trafalgar with Dick who was the Principal at both Trafalgar and Ealing. What a great person to learn from! Dick was a true mentor and when I eventually went for my Principal's interview, it was Dick who I returned to for help in preparing! Great guy!! Truly missed!

While teaching there, my first son was born and now he is a professor.
One day, news came on the radio about Pres. Kennedy being shot and we passed it along to our students.
Dick was a great vice principal !

I was fortunate enough to have Mr.Pope twuce while attending Lorne Ave school many years ago. He was my favourite teacher of all time. He always had time for everybody, and was always taking time to get us playing games in class, while we never realized that we were doing a lot of memory work at the time. He was one great guy. I am now almost seventy, and live on Vancouver Island B.C. Thanks to my cousin who still lives in London I heard about his passing. My thoughts are with you and your family. Sincerely, Barb Miller

Dick was my Principal when he ran both Trafalgar and Ealing Schools and I was his VP at Trafalgar. What a wonderful learning experience he allowed me as he shared the Principal's duties with me at Trafalgar. There was no one in my educational experiences who cared more and wanted the best for the kids. He was one of a kind. Sue and I remember him fondly and thank him for his friendship during those several years on Hamilton Road....and following as he took such an interest in the careers of the people with whom he worked. A great guy!!
