To the family of Mrs. Thomas I say her name that way as that is how I remember them, Mr & Mrs Thomas. We were neighbors for a very long time, our back yard connected to theirs, separated only by a wire fence. I was 6 when we moved to Rodney, I remember them as always friendly, gave goodies when we went over for Halloween and always bought our baskets of picked wild strawberries even if we did not clean them the best, always gave us money when we came around cleaning drive ways. Our family will always have fond memories of Mr. & Mrs. Thomas.

To Beryl's Family, I was very sad to hear of Beryl's passing, but I know she would have wanted it this way. I know it was her hope that she would never have to move out of the Villa. Beryl and Harry were next door neighbours of my parents, Bill and Aleta McCallum for the number of years they lived in Rodney. She and Harry were close to Mom and Dad and would often drive over in Harry's golf cart to visit. I got to know them on special event days we had at Mom and Dad's - days when I would bring my bagpipes to play a few tunes. Beryl and Harry would enjoy listening as well as I marched over to their yard. I got to know Beryl in a new way when she moved in to Four Counties Community Villa where I was the Supportive Housing Coordinator. Beryl settled in right away and although it was a difficult decision for her to move from her home, she was very happy in her apartment. She got to know many of the folks there, and enjoyed reminiscing with me about Mom and Dad and their fun times together. She would often dig out some photos and then tell the story that went with them. Like the time she had a ride on Ed and Mary's motorcylce. She was proud to have been able to climb onto that thing - not sure how old she was when she took that ride, but likely 80ish! She was quite the lady. I am sorry that I will be away for the visitation, but my thoughts are with you and my memories of Beryl and the enjoyable times we had together. Sincerely, Bonnie and Mike Rowe
