Barb, Sam and Max,
I am so sorry to hear of your loss. I'm having many fond memories of Eric, he was an important part of all those summers growing up at the beach- I have one particular stand out memory of his expressions and feigned surprise when he tipped me off to solving the Jurassic Park video game (all the rage that summer). A kind, stand-up guy. My sincerest condolences,
Emily Monaghan

Our condolences to Barb,Sam & Max,
We are saddened to hear of Eric’s passing. I had Eric as my history teacher many years ago. Then as time passed he rented an apt from my father in law Fred Jamieson. And as more years passed he bought one of the Jamieson cottages at Ipperwash Beach where he,Barb & the boys resided for the summer. I would enjoy having chats with Eric because of his wisdom & knowledge in politics ( tried to convince him to go to Parliament Hill but he said he would rather stay on this side of the fence). His dedication at council meetings for our little town & also Ipperwash Beach will be greatly missed. He wanted what was best for all taxpayers. He has left all that had the privilege of knowing him great memories. Gone but not forgotten. RIP Eric

I was very saddened to learn of Eric's passing. I had the very good fortune to be his colleague in the History Department at NLSS. He was a great mentor to me and I enjoyed many a good and lengthy chat with him about education, history and politics and loved his sharp and witty mind. Eric cared much about the craft of teaching, particularly in instilling his students with the critical thinking skills needed to make their way in the world. He will be greatly missed. Our condolences to Barbara, Max and Sam.
