We came to know The Tisdale family through renovation work at Invercairn. Jim and Joyce had the rare facility of turning a working relationship into a friendly one. Fond memories! Condolences to surviving children, 'grands', and other family members. Sincerely, Russell Fuller

Kathryn, Mark, Stephen and families..My deepest sympathies on the loss of your Mom. She was always so very kind and welcoming to me. One thing I remember was how very important her family was to her. May beautiful memories help you through difficult times.

My heartfelt sympathies to the family. As a child, spending summers at Invercairn Beach was magical. Mr. & Mrs. Tisdale were always there with smiles and friendly words. You will be missed!

My thoughts to the family.I have so many fond memories of Invercairn Beach and the tightness of our community there. It was a great time and place to be a kid- and I loved All the parents and the ‘uncle’ and ‘aunt’ names we gave them.
Uncle Jim and Aunt Joyce were great neighbours.
Love from Don Leitch and family

Aunt Joyce was the one to give brother Don his nickname of "Spook", He used to peer in her front windows to see if anyone was coming out to play but all you could see of him was his hood up over his head and two little eyes. She used to tease him about being the little spook in her window and the nickname stuck for years. She always had such a sunny disposition. My condolences to her family - they will miss her terribly

We have many fond memories of Joyce and Jim, both at Invercairn and Windsor. They were an integral part of our Invercairn community, and served as "elders" in many ways. From sports, beach and Sunday services they exemplified the virtues of integrity, benevolence and community. This indeed is the passing of a bygone era!
