I just found out about Lonnie and am so shocked and saddened. Lonnie always had a hearty hello whenever we crossed paths. We worked together on a house and had lots of laughs. My thoughts go out to the family at this time. He will be missed by all.

So sorry that I am not able to make my way to Forest today....too many appointments in my work that I was unable to shift. So many childhood memories come to mind ... summers at Ipperwash before the roller rink, Christmas dinners in Sarnia, family picnics, motorcycles, archery, beach combing ... laughter, joy, adventure ... I remember when Lonnie first had his motorcycle. I was around 12 or 13. One day he and some friends were at the "Motel" of Leiknans and Lonnie offered to take me for a ride. I had never been on a motorcycle before, so I thought that would be a pretty good idea! Lonnie went ripping down Ipperwash Road with me clinging to him on the back of the bike saying my "Hail Mary's" (which is pretty peculiar as we were not Catholic) When we got back to the motel, my mom had appeared from somewhere and gave Lonnie a pretty good earful and marched my behind home where I was properly grounded. Lonnie stilled ripped up and down Ipperwash Road after that, but for some reason???? he never offered me another ride.

Dear Kathy and family and Aunty Dean. I'm so sorry to lose my dear cousin Lonnie. I used to babysit Lonnie when he was only 5 and I 12 years old. At that time they lived just a block away, so I saw a lot of Lonnie and Linda when they were growing up. Unfortunately. as I moved away I only saw Lonnie through the years at either family reunions or funerals. One more time I'm away, this time in Chicago looking after my grandchildren.
