Obituary of Robert Downey

DOWNEY At his residence in Wardsville on Sunday, January 14th, 2007. Robert James Downey of Wardsville in his 73rd year. Lovingly remembered by his wife Shirley (Long) and his daughter Roseatta Long of Hamilton. Survived by his brothers Jack and his wife Marjorie, Claire and his wife Jeanette and Gerald and his wife Donna, sisters Mary Fedy and her husband Dennis and Margaret Ann Atkinson and her husband Bill and sister in law Shirley Downey. Also survived by many nieces and nephews. Predeceased by his brother Paul Downey and sister Elenore Blair. Friends may call at the Rodney Chapel on Tuesday, January 16th, 2007 from 2-4 and 6-8 pm. Funeral mass will be celebrated on Wednesday at 11 am at St. Marys Church, West Lorne. Father J. Konieczny C.R. celebrant. Interment Rodney cemetery. Parish prayers will be offered on Tuesday evening at 7pm. If desired, memorial contributions to the Heart & Stroke Foundation would be appreciated as your expression of sympathy.
