Obituary of Antony Genovy
Peacefully at the Norman Site of Bluewater Health on Tuesday, August 2nd, 2011. Antony J. Genovy of Forest in his 81st year. Antony is survived by his loving wife Jennie Genovy (nee Zamonsky) of 58 years.
Antony will be fondly remembered by his children Joanne Evans, Barb (George) Vandenberg, Mike (Mary) Genovy, Mary (Andrew) Ciura, Greg (Katie) Genovy, Chris (Joanne) Genovy, Bernard Genovy, Tim Genovy,
Mark (Dawn) Genovy and Becky (Jerome) Bressette. Antony will also be remembered by his 23 grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren. Also survived by sister Eileen (Hector) Babin. Predeceased by father John, mother Mary, sister Ann, brothers Mike & Stanley, and a brother who died in infancy. Antony was a proud and devout Catholic,and a lovingFather and Grandfather. He was an avid naturalist and an accomplished woodcarver. Antony loved to spend Sundays on his farm with family, walking on the many trails he created, enjoying his hand dug pond and listening to the sounds of the frogs and birds. He spent many hours reading, doing crosswords, and enjoying the peace of country life. The many stories he told were a great enjoyment to all. He will be greatly missed. Visitation will be held at the FOREST CHAPEL of DENNING FUNERAL DIRECTORS on Friday, August 5th, 2011 from 6-9pm. Mass of Christian burial will celebrated on Saturday, August 6th, 2011 at 11am with Fr. Gerard Bedard celebrant at St. Christopher's Catholic Church. Interment to follow at Beechwood Cemetery in Forest. Donations to the Canadian Cancer Society would be greatly appreciated by the family.
